Inconel 600 series
Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy for applications requiring corrosion and high-temperature resistance — designed for service from cryogenic to elevated temperatures around 2000°F. Non-magnetic with excellent mechanical properties, it combines high strength with good weldability across a wide temperature range. High nickel content retains resistance under reducing conditions, resists many organic and inorganic compounds, gives excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking and to alkaline solutions. Typical applications: chemical, pulp and paper, aerospace, nuclear engineering and heat-treating industries.
